Who Is The Sinking City 2 Protagonist?
The playable character is Calvin Rafferty, commonly called Cal. He is a new occult adventurer whose attempt to save Faye Bennett draws him into flooded Arkham.
Calvin's goal
Calvin enters Arkham to save Faye. A failed ritual leaves her soul trapped in the Dreamlands and her physical fate tied to the source of the flood.
The journey is personal from the opening scene. Rather than accepting a case as a private investigator, Calvin is pursuing the person he loves and confronting the cost of their occult work.
How he differs from Charles Reed
Calvin is a different protagonist, not a renamed Reed. The sequel moves from Oakmont to Arkham and from open-world detective adventure to semi-open survival horror.
No first-game homework is required. Frogwares describes the sequel as a standalone story, though New Game Plus contains deeper references for returning players.
Gameplay identity
Calvin is built for survival-horror combat. His route emphasizes focused weak-point shots, inventory pressure, weapon upgrades and choosing when to retreat.
