The Sinking City 2 Walkthrough: Chapter Roadmap
The campaign moves through five named story phases, from Calvin's apartment and the Miskatonic Library Annex to the caves below Arkham. This roadmap tells you what each chapter asks of you without reproducing every room-by-room solution.
Chapters 1–2: apartment, Annex and Devil's Reef
A New Day introduces boats, fuse puzzles and Safe Rooms. Leave Calvin's apartment, open the first watergate and continue to the Miskatonic Library Annex.
The Wake-Up Call is the largest early city section. Search the Annex, church, printing area and Devil's Reef Hotel; collecting clues here also opens several optional investigations.
Do not rush the hotel exit. Room 301, the Lorelei chests and the basement machinery all contain useful rewards or progression items.
Chapter 3: Akeley Hospital
A Sight for Sore Eyes centers on charging the Prism. The blue, yellow and pink stations are spread across the hospital, so keep each wing's keys and clues organized.
Collect both face halves and inspect the Wireless Room. The hospital contains important optional rewards, weapon upgrades and the three-number brain-machine puzzle.
Not every threat should be killed. One shadow-like pursuer can only be driven away temporarily; creating distance is the efficient answer.
Chapters 4–5: Fish Market and endgame
Time and Tide uses Leyden Jars as movable power sources. Track where you leave each jar while opening the Fish Market, Cold Storage and Broken Hold routes.
Shoggoth is a mechanism-driven boss. Activate the three arena devices to expose its eyes, then damage the eyes and repeat the cycle.
Cold Comfort leads through the caves and portal. Use the Engraved Pod, power the portal and prepare fully before Slither Prime; its head is the main weak point.
Optional cases and replay
Eight optional investigations run alongside the campaign. They award achievements and practical upgrades, so completing them before advancing the associated story area is the safest route.
The Holloway Manor is separate DLC. It launches from its own main-menu entry and is not one of the five base-game chapters.
Finishing the story unlocks Ex Oblivione. This New Game Plus mode carries Talents forward and adds story material that changes how the ending is read.
