The Sinking City 2 Characters & Story Roles
The sequel uses a new protagonist and a self-contained Arkham story. The cast is smaller and more focused than the first game's, with Calvin and Faye's relationship at the center.
Calvin Rafferty
Calvin is the playable protagonist. He is an occult adventurer who reaches flooded Arkham while trying to restore Faye after their ritual goes wrong.
He is not Charles Reed. The sequel follows a different lead and tells a standalone story, so playing the 2019 game is optional rather than required.
Faye Bennett
Faye is Calvin's partner in life and occult work. Her soul is trapped in the Dreamlands while supernatural forces take control of her body.
Her presence drives the full campaign. She is felt through the Night Shade mask and the mystery surrounding the failed ritual, even when she is not physically beside Calvin.
Lorelei and Arkham's survivors
Lorelei appears at the Devil's Reef Hotel. Calvin rescues and escorts her during The Wake-Up Call, completing one of the campaign's largest investigation sequences.
The remaining survivors are deliberately sparse. Arkham has largely been evacuated, leaving scattered inhabitants, occult figures and people caught inside the supernatural flood.
Creatures as narrative forces
The Slither animate Arkham's dead. Their presence turns ordinary corpses into recurring threats and visually marks the city's collapse.
Deep Ones and Shadows widen the Mythos. They are more than combat types: each reflects a different part of Arkham's flood, rituals and unstable reality.
